More than 28 billion glass bottles and jars end up in landfills every year.
These panels have been created using that waste. Artisan sustainably fused recycled glass panels that are ideal for interior and architectural, and made 100% from disposed glass. The body of the material contains no other additives such as resin, concrete, or other inorganic materials, and has only been fused in a low heat oven – melding the glass pieces together.
The material is created by carefully choosing end-consumer glass bottles or plate glass, cleaning and crushing the glass before the broken glass is arranged through a selective process and fused into one large panel. The glass goes through a specifically designed firing schedule that transform the glass into marvel-like material which no longer looks or behave like glass. The sustainable recycled glass material has greater resemblance to stone or ceramic materials, and each individual piece of broken glass can still be seen.
Depending on the colour of waste collected, they come in a variety of colours and textures, making them a versatile choice to create unique and visually appealing features such as privacy screen, wall panels, light shades and even award trophies. Overall, they are durable, aesthetically pleasing, low-maintenance, and energy-efficient material.
