Explore eco-friendly solutions on our Recycled Materials page. Dive into a sustainable world of quality, crafted from repurposed resources. Make green choices with style.

Venture into the realm of sustainable design with our meticulously curated Recycled Materials page. Understanding the need for an environmentally-conscious approach in today’s design landscape, we’ve sourced and fashioned materials that are not just recycled, but also exude elegance and durability. Every item in our collection is a testament to the potential of repurposed resources, seamlessly blending style with responsibility.

How are recycled materials sourced and processed?

We source our recycled materials from a variety of reliable partners, including pre-consumer waste, post-consumer waste and post-industrial sources (such as factory scraps or manufacturing by-products). Our commitment to high-quality standards ensures that every recycled material we use meets strict durability and environmental impact criteria, allowing us to create products that are both sustainable and reliable.

Using recycled materials offers significant environmental benefits. First, it reduces the need for extracting and processing new raw materials, which saves energy and conserves natural resources. Recycling also helps cut down on waste sent to landfills and reduces pollution from disposal methods like incineration.

Recycled materials are crafted to be just as durable and functional as new materials, so they typically don't require any special care or maintenance beyond standard recommendations. However, we do suggest following the special care instructions provided for each product to maintain its quality and longevity.

Recycled terrazzo is significantly more sustainable compared to standard terrazzo. Traditional terrazzo uses all-new materials, which means sourcing non-renewable materials resources like marble and granite. In contrast, recycled terrazzo incorporates reclaimed materials into its design. Additionally recycled terrazzo does not contain any glue or resin inside, which keeps the material low-VOC. This is important for designing sustainable and healthy spaces.

Our recycled terrazzo offers a beautiful range of colours and aggregate styles. Since our colour palette is derived from the available waste marble we source, you'll find a variety of different colours, from soft pinks to vibrant greens and deep blues. Each terrazzo slab combines different marble fragments in various sizes, giving you options for both fine and bold aggregate styles, depending on your design preference.

Yes, recycled materials can be customised in colour, but this option is available only for large quantity orders. For sizable projects, we can create bespoke products with bespoke colour schemes, and we have the option to incorporate waste from your own project into the terrazzo mix.

Absolutely! Recycled glass panels are both eco-friendly and safe for interior use. Made from pre-consumer and post-consumer waste, these panels reduce the demand for raw materials and lower the energy required for production, resulting in a smaller carbo foot-print.

Recycled glass foam offers several advantages over traditional materials. Made from recycled materials, it diverts waste from landfills and reduces the need for raw materials. It provides excellent thermal resistance, reducing heat loss and improving energy efficiency. Unlike some other materials, it is also moisture resistant, preventing mould and mildew growth, which can lead to better indoor air quality.

Foam glass is highly effective for both thermal and sound insulation. It is a low thermal conductive material, the structure of foam glass creates tiny air pockets within the material, which help to prevent heat transfer. Its dense, yet lightweight structure helps absorb and dampen sound, reducing noise transmissions.

Yes, recycled paper panels can be used as an alternative to MDF. The primary advantage of using recycled paper is its environmental impact. By utilising paper waste, we can reduce the demand for virgin wood and help divert paper waste from landfills. Additionally, paperboard is often free from the harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, which are commonly used in the production of MDF, making it a safer and more eco-friendly choice for indoor use.

Recycled paper boards are eco-friendly and water-resistant, but they are porous, so oil-based products should be avoided as they can penetrate the surface. While they should be kept in relatively dry environments, they are ideal for lightweight applications.
