Casting and Slipcasting
Experience the artistry of our bespoke production technique: casting and slip casting.
These intricate methods are employed to shape complex forms using moulds. In slip casting, a liquid clay body is delicately poured into meticulously crafted plaster moulds, allowing a layer of clay to gradually form on the inner walls as it dries. To achieve a hollow cast, the excess liquid is carefully poured off after the plaster absorbs most of it from the outer layer. Once the majority of the moisture has been absorbed, the cast piece is gently extracted from the mould and left to dry for several additional hours. Press Mold Techniques

Discover the versatility of our DRY & WET press technique, perfectly suited for producing Bespoke three-dimensional ceramic tiles for both indoor and outdoor applications. Utilizing plaster or metal press moulds, this method involves the manual or mechanical pressing of clay into the moulds. With the aid of RAM presses, we can effortlessly shape clay into precise plates, bowls, and stunning 3D tiles. By placing the dry or wet clay body between two porous moulds, the vertical movement of the moulds applies pressure, resulting in beautifully formed ceramic tiles. Montedoria Tiles Restoration
We specialize in restoration, meticulously producing matching tiles that seamlessly blend with the existing ones to preserve the architectural integrity of your space..
Palazzo Montedoria, designed by Giò Ponti in 1971, is covered with green ceramic tiles which are characterized by a smooth diamond-cut surface.
When the external façade needed renovation, our ceramic partner provided the reproduction of the porcelain stoneware tiles: four different types of ceramic tiles, sized cm 6×19, relief, low-relief, high low-relief and flat.
The special glazes used in this renovation were specifically chosen to recreate the erosion caused by the weather. In addition, these tiles were produced in accordance with a hand-crafted technique which makes the material heterogeneous, both in the effects on the surface and in the dimension of the pieces.

Glazing, composed of pulverized glass and appropriate solvents mixed with transition-metal or earth elements, allows us to create a wide range of vibrant colors. With various glazing techniques at our disposal, including dipping, airbrushing, and hand-painting, we can beautifully coat ceramic biscuits. Once decorated, the piece undergoes another firing process to vitrify the coating, resulting in a stunning, durable finish. Encaustic Tiles
Encaustic tiles, renowned for their durability and vibrant appeal, gained popularity during the Victorian era, adorning the floors of grand buildings. We sought to reimagine and reinvent this historic tile-making process by infusing our unique and experimental manufacturing ethos. Through meticulous craftsmanship, blocks of clay are skillfully marbled by hand, resulting in distinctive patterns. These marbled clay blocks are then sliced and flattened using a powerful 60-tonne hydraulic press, ensuring that each tile possesses its own unique character. The reinvented encaustic tiles we create are not only visually striking but also vitrified, making them suitable for both interior and exterior use on floors and walls.
