Wing Mosaic Segment
Wing Mosaic segment is a unique and environmentally conscious product that is radiant and eco-friendly. It is made from 100% recycled glass shards; these pieces are considered “waste” from the glassblowing industry, one third of each hand blown piece being discarded. Originally, this waste was thrown away and left in landfills, whereas now the waste shards are efficiently upcycled into M1 Wing Mosaic segments.
The M1 Wing Mosaic beautifully reflects the spirit of flying and the ethereal beauty of wings; it features a delicate arrangement of glass shards meticulously placed to resemble the graceful wings of a butterfly. Each segment is carefully crafted by skilled artisans, ensuring precision and attention to detail, starting with the melting of the glass and continuing through the careful selection of fragments, their arrangement in the mold, and the subsequent processes. One of the significant advantages of this approach is the ability to transform discarded glass into a new product, promoting efficient upcycling without harming the environment or the natural surroundings.
This type of glass is often used in interior and exterior design applications such as wall panels, partitions, kitchen backsplashes, backlit panels, decorative walls, facades etc to add a touch of elegance and sophistication to any space. The mosaic composition is available in three colors, allowing to suit different interior styles and preferences, in thickness it is approx. 7 mm, and it is available in gloss finish for easy maintenance/washability.
