Ice 01_60
This 100% handmade technique draws inspiration from the process of osmosis, using salt to create intricate, one-of-a-kind patterns on birch wood surfaces. Salt is applied to a wet, glazed surface—monochrome or multicoloured—where it absorbs moisture and pigment, pulling colour into the wood’s natural grain. The result is a breathtaking interplay of colour and texture, with endless possibilities in hues and patterns. Available in sizes up to 2.4 meters in length and 1.1 meters in width, Ice 01_60 can be crafted into furniture, components, or full wooden boards, tailored to your vision with a choice of three primary patterns and nearly unlimited colour options. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this surface is highly functional, offering liquid resistance through a durable PU lacquer, fire protection rated at level B1 under EN 13501-1 standards, and hygienic properties suitable for food contact.
