Eelgrass Acoustic Mats

Eelgrass Acoustic Mats are made from engineered eelgrass fibres, offering excellent sound absorption and a warm, textured finish for walls and ceilings.

Crafted in Denmark, these mats combine eelgrass and a bi-component binder—no harmful chemicals, no additives. The dense material traps air in the hollow fibres, dampening sound waves.

Available in muted warm brown, they bring a subtle earthy aesthetic and even emit a faint sea-scent, adding sensory depth to interiors .

Installation is simple—adhesive or discreet fixings allow frameless mounting. Standard dimensions are offered, with custom sizes up to 3000 × 1100 mm also available.

A 35 mm flame-retardant variant offers Class B sound absorption. It is fire-resistant, low-emission, and carries the same Cradle to Cradle Gold and Material Health Platinum certifications.
