Salted Wood Surfaces

Experience the perfect blend of innovation and craftsmanship with our Salted Wood Surfaces, handcrafted in Berlin. By leveraging the natural osmosis effects of salt, we create extraordinary wooden surfaces featuring unique patterns and vibrant colors. Each design is formed as salt draws pigment into the wood’s natural grain, emphasizing its organic beauty. The process, influenced by the type of salt, humidity, and reaction time, ensures every piece is truly one of a kind. These surfaces are available in various colors and patterns, perfect for furniture, panels, or full boards.

Protected by durable PU lacquer, Salted Artwood Surfaces are liquid-resistant, fire-resistant, and hygienic, making them practical and beautiful. They’re easy to clean, safe for food contact, and free from harmful substances. Whether you’re designing furniture or statement pieces, these innovative surfaces combine functionality and artistry to transform any space.

Where can salted wood surfaces be used?

Salted wood surfaces come as a sheet material and can be used indoors, on vertical surfaces, furniture and joinery pieces.

Salted wood surfaces come in a variety of colours and textures. Each colour and texture will be slightly different from each other as it is created by the natural reaction of salt.

We apply specially selected salts and pigments to the wood. Over time, the salt naturally draws the pigment into the grain, enhancing the wood’s natural beauty. Variables like salt type, humidity, and reaction time influence the final look, ensuring every piece is unique.
