Each glass piece in this collection is meticulously crafted, featuring carefully arranged fragments of glass that resemble the geometric patterns found in hives.The Shattered glass,once considered waste, is skillfully repurposed into a mesmerizing mosaic of colours and shapes, capturing the essence of community, cooperation, and nature’s ingenuity. The concept behind this is to give new life and purpose to shattered glass, turning what was once considered waste into exquisite, one-of-a-kind creations. The Wings Mosaics are made of 100% recycled glass.
The Hive Mosaic pieces evoke a sense of organization, interconnectedness, and balance, inviting viewers to reflect on the beauty and complexity of the natural world. In a glassblowing facility, after a piece is made, one third of it is put to waste and never used again the glass used in the Hive Mosaic is collected from the discarded shards. The broken glass pieces, with their jagged edges and varied colors, are skillfully combined to create visually captivating compositions that evoke a sense of both fragility and resilience.
